Aside from her geopolitical significance which was the main focus of attraction for millennia, this vibrant metropolis is also one of the most beautiful ones, wearing the Bosphorus Straight as an eloquent necklace around her neck as though she was a newly-wedded bride.

Perfect amount of time in Istanbul, a city situated between Europe and Asia, Istanbul –the Pearl of Middle East- boasts of a tremendous historical and cultural heritage.

Summary of the itinerary:

• DAY 1: Arrival to Istanbul & transfer to hotel
• DAY 2: Full day historic tour
• DAY 3: Full day cruise & sightseeing tour
• DAY 4: Full day “The Other Tour”
• DAY 5: Final shopping and flight out.

Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul and Orientation

Upon arrival in Istanbul Airport, you’ll be met and taken for a drive to your hotel. This drive will not be rushed: We’ll drive you along the beautiful coastline of Istanbul and you’ll get to see the Bakırköy coast, the Sea of Marmara, 1700 years old city walls in Topkapi, Kumkapi and narrow streets of the Old Town, Sultanahmet. After you check into your room in the hotel, your guide will come and meet you in your hotel lobby just before the evening and will take you on an orientation walk in Sultanahmet. You’ll be informed about the next couple of days more in detail and given info on what you can do on your spare time. Finally, you’ll spend the night at the hotel we arranged for you.

Day 2: Full Day Historical Istanbul Tour

After having a lovely traditional Turkish breakfast at the hotel, you’ll meet your guide at the hotel lobby again and set off to see all the major historical highlights of Istanbul. Guidance, museum tickets, hotel transfers will be included.

This is a full walking tour of the old city of Istanbul. Our tour starts at 09:00 am and we visit Topkapi Palace which was the residence of Ottoman sultans.

Highlights of the Istanbul historical tour: Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar.

Our tour finishes after walking to the Grand Bazaar. Your guide is going to tell the history of Grand Bazaar and give you some tips about this place before ending the tour around 16:00.

The orders of visiting the sites can be changed by your guides.
Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays so it will be replaced by Basilica Cistern
Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays so it will be replaced by Harem in Topkapi Palace.

You’ll have the evening at leisure (on your own) and spend one more night at your hotel.

Day 3: Bosphorus Cruise and Dolmabahce Palace Tour

After having a lovely traditional Turkish breakfast at the hotel, you’ll meet your guide at the hotel lobby again and set off to do a half day cruise on Bosphorus (the strait that forms part of the boundary between Europe and Asia) in the morning and a sightseeing tour to Dolmabahce Palace, Bosphorus Bridge and Camlıca Hill (Highest point of the city, on the Asian side).

Here are all the places you see on the tour;

Lunch (In a local restaurant with open buffet)
DOLMABAHÇE PALACE –BOSPHORUS BRIDGE (from Europe to Asia) –ÇAMLICA HILL

At around 17:30, we’ll bring you back to the hotel or your chosen spot in the city.

You’ll have the evening at leisure (on your own) and spend one more night at your hotel.

Day 4: Full Day “The Other Tour” in Istanbul

Today starts like any other: You have breakfast at the hotel and we pick you up at around 9 am from the hotel. But our itinerary is not like any other day today. Instead of seeing tourist attractions, we go on to explore real cultural elements of this amazing city.

The Other Tour is a brand new program in Istanbul, Turkey that aims only one thing: to get people into real Turkish environments.

Turkish neighborhoods, Turkish houses, Turkish families, celebrations, Turkish weddings, day to day life of Turkish people, workshops, market places, religious events, and many other different ‘real’ Turkish environments are presented on this guided city tour.

For a single day, you have the chance to experience how Turkish people live, work, socialize, integrate with each other and celebrate their happy occasions.

The Other Tour ends at around 17:30 and as always, we bring you back your hotel or your chosen destination in the city. You have the evening on your own and then you may spend your last night at the hotel. (Of course, we can always extend your stay, if you want.)

Day 5: Last day on the Tour of Istanbul

IF you do, this time can be used for the last minute shopping. There might be things you had your eye on for the last couple days. Maybe you can go grab it now!

And whenever you’re ready, we’ll come and take you to the airport for your flight. Remember: You have to be ready at the airport 2-3 hours in advance before any international flight.
