The Great Mosque (Ulu Camii)

The Green Mosque (Yeșil Camii)
Our next visit will be the charming Green Mosque (Yeșil Camii) or Mosque of Mehmed I. This is one of the most beautiful mosques in the city, a perfect blend between architecture and decorations. The interior is charmingly decorated with blue-green mosaic tiles and once the exterior domes were also adorned with such mosaic that gave this mosque its name. The entrances and windows are also beautifully decorated with flower designs and carved scriptures. The complex also includes the Green Tomb (Yeșil Turbe), the mausoleum where the sultan is buried. The Covered Bazaar
Bursa also had the reputation as the source of most royal silk products and apart from the local silk production, it also imported raw silk from Iran and China.
